Marion County, Florida — On May 26, 2025, at around 8:00 a.m., Traffic Unit Corporal Gary Miller observed a vehicle travelling 20 MPH over the speed limit in the 2600 block of NW 27th Avenue. He attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver, 31-year-old Leroy Graham, refused to stop. Graham drove away from Corporal Miller for several minutes at a normal rate of speed. Ultimately, Graham began to elude and increase his speed as he approached I-75 on Northwest Blitchton Road. Graham continued to flee from Corporal Miller at a high rate of speed for several miles. Corporal Miller conducted a series of P.I.T. maneuvers on the vehicle, however, Graham was able to maintain control. Other deputies, Ocala Police Department officers, and the MCSO Aviation Unit also responded to assist. Graham eventually turned onto SW Highway 200 and came to a stop. During a felony stop, Graham was apprehended, and he stated he had fled because he did not have a valid license. Graham was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail. He was booked on a $5,500 bond but posted bond the same day.
