Sharonville, Ohio — On May 17, 2025, just after 5:30 p.m., Sharonville Police attempted to pull over a vehicle for a fake license plate violation, when the driver, 54-year-old Alicia Bryant, suddenly drove away from the scene, striking an officer's cruiser and ignoring multiple orders to stop. Cruiser cam video shows the driver going the wrong way on Kemper, eventually going onto I-275. According to court papers, speeds reached 103 mph. Authorities deployed multiple sets of stop sticks during the 10-mile pursuit, eventually bringing Bryant’s vehicle to a halt before she attempted to escape on foot. Officers tackled her on the highway and took her into custody approximately 15 minutes after the pursuit began.
Bryant received a $100,000 bond for failure to comply, a $200,000 bond for assault on a police officer and a $500 bond for drug paraphernalia. She also received citations for expired tags, driving under suspension, and had an active warrant out of Butler County. Meanwhile, 45-year-old Kevin Gabbard, who initially appeared as an uncharged passenger, now faces charges for drug possession, tampering with evidence, and is being held on a warrant from the Ohio Parole Authority. Despite the chaotic nature of the chase, no injuries were reported, though parts of I-275 had to be temporarily closed during the incident.
