Deputies Chase Interpol Fugitive

St. Johns County, Florida — On December 4, 2025, at approximately 3:45 p.m., SJSO Task Force deputies attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Interstate 95 in the area of the 331mile marker. The driver fled, initially driving the wrong way in traffic, and deputies successfully executed a PIT maneuver in the area of International Golf Parkway. The driver ran on foot across the interstate and stole a vehicle from a business complex, continuing his attempts to evade law enforcement. Deputies successfully deployed stop sticks on International Golf Parkway and the suspect abandoned the vehicle on railroad tracks north on US1 near Abbotts Way, then fled into heavily wooded and marsh areas. Numerous law enforcement resources were deployed including SJSO and Jacksonville Sheriff's Office K9 teams and air support. The SJSO Air Unit maintained “eyes on” and directed ground units to the suspect, where a K9 engagement occurred and he was taken into custody. The suspect was identified as 33-year-old Tomal Rico Bowe, who is listed as an armed and dangerous INTERPOL fugitive with an active warrant out of the Bahamas for Aggravated Robbery. Bowe has additional warrants out of Broward County for Possession of Meth and Resisting Law Enforcement. He was charged locally with Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement, Resisting Law Enforcement, Grand Theft Motor Vehicle, and Possession of Marijuana.
