Florida Man Rams Patrol Car and Leads Deputies on Reckless Pursuit With Baby in Back Seat

Marion County, Florida — On June 27, 2025, around 4 p.m., Marion County Deputies were patrolling the area of Silver Pass and Fairway Circle in Ocala when they saw a silver Kia with dark-tinted windows and a decorative ring hiding the license plate’s state info. The driver, later identified as 24-year-old Jordan Skeene, erratically drove into a nearby apartment complex and pulled into a parking spot. Skeene reversed his silver Kia into a deputy’s patrol car twice, before ramming forward and initiating a high-speed pursuit. With a one-year-old child in the back seat, Skeene tore through fences, collided with vehicles, and sent his car airborne through an intersection, showing no regard for public safety or the welfare of the toddler in tow. The chase ended only after deputies executed a PIT maneuver near Southeast 88th Street, forcing Skeene to flee on foot into nearby woods. He was ultimately caught and arrested, but not before endangering lives and causing property damage. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a loaded handgun, marijuana packaged for sale, and drug paraphernalia, all within reach of the child. Skeene now faces a litany of charges, including child neglect, drug trafficking, and aggravated assault on law enforcement. Authorities say the child was safely reunited with her mother, while Skeene remains in custody. Deputies also learned at the time of his arrest, Skeene was on probation for fleeing and eluding through March, 20, 2027.
